Athenry Judo Club run 4 week beginner courses at the beginning of each term.
WHAT IS JUDO?
Judo is an fun and exciting sport that has something to offer for everyone. Judo is a fantastic way to get fit and build strength. It increases flexibility and mobility, teaches discipline and respect and encourages new friendships in a supportive environment.
The sport’s origins are in Japan and judo translates into English as “the gentle way“.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF DOING JUDO?

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO START?
All you need to try judo is baggy/loose old clothing (something you don’t mind stretching) or basic gym kit – a long sleeved t-shirt and jogging bottoms.
You should also bring plenty of water to stay hydrated during your session and plenty of energy and enthusiasm!
